Voice Over IP
VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol), sometimes known IP Telephony (IPT), utilises the internet to carry voice traffic rather then the “traditional” public telephone network.
There are a number of advantages to VoIP and these largely revolve around the additional functionality and improved efficiency that becomes available when using hosted solutions, call charges may also be reduced and calls between sites will often be free.
Eclipse Networks has so far introduced 3 VoIP products to our product portfolio, namely Feature Plus, Communicator, and SIP Trunks.
Feature Plus and Communicator are both hosted IP products, whilst SIP Trunks are IP connectivity solutions.
Eclipse Networks does not believe that one product will fit all needs and these products, either singly or in combination, provide real choice for our customers. We can port any number currently on the BT network to our IP network at which point the fixed line will cease.
Horizon
Horizon is designed to replace the traditional PBX. Because of the available features such as hunt groups, and auto attendant, Horizon is the perfect IP Telephony system for multi site enterprises, effectively connecting all sites, regardless of location, to a single system. With free inter-site calls, improved efficiency and reduced maintenance costs Communicator takes the hassle out of managing the hardware needed to make businesses telephone systems leading-edge, feature rich and cost effective.
SIP
Eclipse Networks provides channels of SIP (commonly referred to as Trunks) that connect directly into our customer’s telephony equipment. A SIP Trunk is the equivalent of an ISDN channel, depending on your telephony equipment you can mix and match the amount of SIP Trunks and telephone numbers/DDI ranges.
Our SIP products are tested and approved with some of the leading hardware manufacturers, including Mitel, Avaya, NEC, Siemens, Alcatel, Cisco, Samsung. As manufacturers add SIP trunking to their products we will test and gain approval.
Feature Plus
Feature Plus is an easy to use telephony service that operates on any DSL connection worldwide, predominantly designed for SoHos and small businesses but also an ideal product for satellite offices and home workers. Feature Plus is feature rich and offers call forwarding, call divert, call transfers and 3 way calls plus built in voice mail (including notification by e-mail, attaching .wav file with the message or via SMS) and can store up to 150 contacts from Microsoft Outlook along with short dial favourites.
All features are managed via a secure web portal and can also be accessed and reconfigured using any phone.
